Hello! And thank you for visiting my data science portfolio site.
After the better part of a decade spent studying Middle East, Islamic, and Arab studies in undergrad and grad school, I decided to make the shift into data science, enrolling in the Flatiron School’s data science bootcamp where I dedicated a year to gaining and fine-tuning skills in Python, SQL, NLP, statistical modeling, data analysis and visualization, machine learning, and much more.
I blogged my experience on this journey here, and you can find my GitHub repository here to get a closer look at the projects I worked on.
While getting my MA in Middle East and Islamic Studies at George Mason University (2017-19), I worked at the Arab Studies Institute where I gained invaluable skills in research and project management.
I later transitioned to a role at the Jerusalem Fund & Palestine Center in Washington, DC, where I served as the Program and Communications Manager, taking lead on putting on events and managing social media presence.
